Road Trip: Salt Lake City

This past week we took a road trip from Salt Lake City to Phoenix.  It was awesome!!!  We stopped in Salt Lake City, Park City, Provo, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, and Sedona.  Although I don’t have pictures for each place, I do have stories!!!

Zombie apocalypse.  If they were going to film a movie about it, they should film it in Salt Lake City on a Sunday.  You wouldn’t even need to shut down any streets… seriously. We arrived Saturday late night and when we began walking around Sunday we were confused where were all the people?  Were we missing something?  In fact we were, after texting a former native I found out it was Sunday (yes, I realize I previously stated that), which means it’s the day of rest, or church, and that’s where everyone was… everyone.  Maybe they were really there waiting out the zombie apocalypse.

The Mormon Temple

So funny thing… you can’t go in.  Apparently, no one goes in.  We asked if that have tours on certain days… nope.  ”But did you see the model?”  I did not respond that I did not walk all this way to see a doll house size temple, just thought it.  Somehow the awe was lost.
